This daylong retreat will explore the connection between Buddhist teachings and practice and 12 Step recovery. The emphasis will be on developing a mindfulness meditation practice to support your recovery. The day will include meditation instruction, lecture, discussion and interactive exercises. Appropriate for experienced or beginning meditators and anyone in recovery from anything.
Recovering Joy: A Mindful Life after Addiction. In this half day workshop Kevin will draw from his latest book to talk about how Buddhist practices and teachings can support a joyful life in recovery. He will include meditation instruction and interactive exercises as well as lecture and discussion. Books will be available for sale.
